I have reported previously about the struggle against Agenda 21 and ICLEI in Clallam County, Washington. That struggle continues: Former Redskin star Clint Didier is lending his support to the anti-ICLEI/Agenda 21 fight:
Last Monday night (September 26) the Concerned Citizens of Clallam County (4C) meeting was packed to hear former Redskin star and now liberty activist (former US Senate candidate, too) Clint Didier speak on Agenda 21. Here’s highlights:
Didier, the guest speaker at the Monday night meeting, fired up the crowd of 250-plus with horror stories about government intrusion into farming in Eastern Washington. * * * Didier, a farmer, provided a litany of the woes that have attended the introduction of sustainable living rules in Eastern Washington.
He said there is now a push to create 500-foot buffers along each side of every body of water that flows into another body of water. Because no herbicides or pesticides would be allowed, that would remove 61 percent of farmland from full production, he said.
He said the National Marine Fisheries Service finds that unsatisfactory and is asking for a 1,000-foot buffer, which would remove 80 percent of available farm land from production.
It is true: Agenda 21 and “sustainable development” means loss of property rights for a “greater good”. Clint Didier gives testimony of it already now!
Didier’s speech caused a standing-room only filled meeting of the Clallam County Commission where they eventually voted 2-1 to support a sustainability grant:
Commission meetings ordinarily are sparsely attended, but at the urging of former U.S. Senate candidate Clint Didier and others, the Tuesday meeting was standing-room-only. Most in the audience were there to urge the rejection of a consent agenda item that would provide a letter of support for a Cascade Land Conservancy grant application. Cascade is seeking a Department of Housing and Urban Development Sustainable Communities Regional Planning grant and requested the assistance, including in-kind donations, from the county.
Many spoke against the letter and only one said yes, support the letter. But one commissioner, Mike Chapman, agreed with the people assembled but was unable to convince his colleagues to reject the letter support. No word on ICLEI membership yet but at the end of October, we’ll know if Clallam County elected not to re-up for another year. If you live in Clallam County, Washington, let your representatives know: NO ICLEI and NO Agenda 21!
